About HammerFolk

HammerFolk exists so you can order the right amount of material once, instead of making two trips to the store. Each calculator accounts for a real waste allowance based on layout (straight, diagonal, pattern), not a single flat percentage pulled out of thin air, because a herringbone floor and a straight-plank floor don't waste material the same way.

How it's built

Each calculator's waste-allowance and quantity math is checked against manufacturer and trade guidance cited on its page, and ships with automated tests against known reference values so a code change can't silently change the numbers. HammerFolk is built and maintained independently — see the Methodology page for how calculators are verified and kept current.

No accounts, no tracking of your numbers

HammerFolk doesn't require signup, and the values you enter into a calculator stay in your browser — saved results (if you choose to save any) live in your device's local storage only, never on our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
